Foundation Scholarship

The Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation, Inc., celebrates these qualities on the football field through the Biletnikoff Award, which recognizes college football's most oustanding receiver. The Foundation also recognizes and rewards these qualities in our community by providing finacial assistance through scholarships to deserving Leon County graduating high school achievers.

This scholarship program recognizes the students' excellence in academic and community activites. These high school seniros have succeeded in spite of significant physical, emotional, and other challenges faced during their young-adult years. The Tallahssee Quarterback Club Foundation evaluates their academic achievements, character, involvement in school and community projects, as well as the "nature of the challenges they have overcome."

With the awarding of the 2006-2007 scholarships, the Biletnikoff Award Scholarship program will have awarded more than 70 college scholarships during its 13-year history.

  Beginning in 1999, the larges scholarship awarded was name the Tracy Biletnikoff Scholarship, in honor of Fred Biletnikoff's deceased daughter.

In addition, through their generous contributions, Howard Eisenman, James Steiner, Ken Fish/Taylor's Building Supply, Inc., Mainline Information Systems, Ed and Meredith Fishback L. Thomas Cox, Jr., Walter W. Manley II, Curtis Zimmerman, Bush Augspurger & Lynch, PA, Inc., Rocky Bevis, Carr, Riggs & Ingram, LLP, Rogers Gunter Vaughn Insurance, and Searcy Denney Scarola Barnhart & Shipley have been recognized by naming scholarships in their honor.

In February 2007, as announced by 2007 scholarship chairman Ken Wilson, the Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation will honor, as scholarship finalists, the following students who have overcome significant obstacles in their young lives and demonstrated outstanding leadership and academic achievement: Godby High School senior Thy Hoang Bui: North Florida Christian senior Bradley Daniel Givens; Godby High School senior Gabrielle Jo'van Jackson; Godby High School senior Kevin Edward Walther; Godby High School senior Sable Tempest White; and Godby High School senior Saige Brittney White.
